Youth Mission Trips

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4: 10

We are called to act and reflect the love of Christ.

This is a challenge to stand out from the crowd, to speak against injustice, to get active, and to recognize those in need.

Holy Family Church has a rich tradition of missionary work.  For almost 20 years our parish has supported the poor and needy in Haiti.  For the past several years, our youth ministry has supported the poor in the Caribbean and Central America and as well as a domestic missions.  Young people and their families may attend one or more of our mission projects.

As beloved disciples of Jesus, all of our missionaries must employ a missionary spirit, willing to share the gifts given to support not only the mission trip but also the mission efforts in the way of fundraising.  All of our missionaries must comply with the Holy Family and Archdiocesan Safeguard the Children guidelines.  Visit our Holy Family Safeguard page for all the information as well as Safeguard compliance rules and forms.

ALL mission trips have been postponed due to the pandemic. Please check back later for updates.

ISLE-GO MISSIONS

COSTA RICA OR JAMAICA  –  Summer 2023 (tentative)

Holy Family partners with IsleGo Missions for week-long international mission trips.  The trips are open to all teens going into eleventh grade or older. Accommodations are local villas with air-conditioned rooms, private bathrooms, security, and meals prepared by local cooks. Transportation is by local buses or vans driven by professional drivers and/or IsleGO staff.

There is usually a fee of $2400.00 to defray the costs of transportation and lodging. All missionaries need to participate in fundraising of at least $1200.00.

When we are ready to accept sign ups, you can download all the papers necessary to reserve your place on this trip.   To save your spot on a trip, you will need to fill out the paperwork and submit a $100.00 non-refundable deposit. (Make checks payable to “Holy Family Church”. Submit these papers and the deposit to the Holy Family Pastoral Center or the Eden Center.)
