TEEN Session 1: Introduction to Confirmation
The goal of this session is to introduce the initiation sacrament of Confirmation by awakening in the life of the candidate the reality of God and encouraging the candidate to participate in the life of the parish community. Most of the session has ice breakers and other activities.

A deeper understanding of Imago Dei. Once I understand this- how does that impact my interactions with other people. Marginalized etc. Explain how each of us is made in the image of God and how it is a cornerstone of our Christian Spirituality.

Teen Session 3: Silence is beautiful.

Introduction to Centering Prayer by renowned Irish harpist and contemplative Aine Minogue, born in Borriskane County Tipperary. She will walk us through this ancient prayer form and guide the teens on how to use it with a smartphone app.

The Presence of God in our life: God revealed in our everyday lives. God shows up in our lives in so many ways whether it is family, friends or elsewhere.We are the Eyes and Ears of God.
Session 4 1st Year Candidates
TEEN Session 4 TBD: The Eucharist Revisited
God’s presence is physically manifested in the Eucharist. This celebration is played out 325,000 times a day; the power of the Eucharist and God’s presence therein is greatly underestimated and misunderstood. This session will reveal the real intention and workings of this sacrament, the summit of the Catholic Church.

TEEN Session TBD: Making good life decisions
What does this mean? Jesus cared for everyone. What would He like us to do? Tools for discernment like those from St Igatius, St. Francis, Catherine of Sienna as well as general principles to help with questions like ” How do I know what’s from God or what God wants me to do?

God revealed in our everyday lives.
Session 6 April 1st Year Candidates
Teen Session 6 TBD: Discipleship. We set the table and God does the work!
What is discipleship? What does it mean to become a disciple and what does God say we should do about it? Introduce service and social justice. Discuss the Beloved Disciple and what that means to them. (Mary Magdalene)
Session 7 October 2nd Year Candidates
TEEN Session TBD: Belonging. What does this mean to me?
Where do I fit in? Cover Community and who is there for us? How many communities do we belong to? How is this affecting us during COVID. Why belong to a/the Church and the saints? What does scripture say about belonging?

TEEN Session TBD: Boundaries- social bullying.
This will be a safety session: Cover social bullying. How to establish limits and what is social bullying? Am I a bully or do I do things that could be considered bullying? How can I change my attitude to people and how can I be careful not to be influenced negatively by others? How can I be more aware?

What are vocations? There will be a couple of speakers to speak about their vocations. We will cover your Catholic Identity.

Grace is God’s love communicated. How God’s grace is expressed through us. Practices to deepen our inner spirituality. Being with God in community ( in school, at play, at home, at work and on social media).

Can we expect forgiveness and what is it to us? How can I have a relationship with Jesus and the Church.
ADULT Session TBD: Forgiveness/Reconciliation
During this session the adults will look at the sacrament of Reconciliation. During this thoughtful session, our guest speaker will unpack the sacramental truths about this often-misunderstood Sacrament.
