As part of the Confirmation Journey, we invite you to be a part of a liturgical ministry. Some ministries at the 5:30pm Mass, we put you on a team that will serve about once a month. Other ministries, are handled by others and we ask them to schedule you as needed. If you would like to switch liturgical ministries, let us know.

• 5:30 Choir – The choir practices almost every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm in the Church. Choir members arrive at 4:30pm to help set up for Mass, and stay after Mass for about 15 minutes to help put away all the choir gear. • Video Ministry – To join this ministry one needs to come to video ministry any Sunday and get some hands-on training. After one or two brief sessions, you will be assigned to one of the four teams that serves the 9:30am, 11:15am or 5:30pm Masses.

• Usher/Greeter at Saturday evening/Sunday Morning Masses – Holy Family is a place where all are welcome. Greeters are committed to making these words a reality for all who come to liturgies and special events at Holy Family, whether that person a long-time parishioner, is a newcomer, or is visiting our parish for the first time. Although we would like all our teens to be greeters at the 5:30pm Mass, some elect to serve at one of the other Masses. The greeters stay after Mass to help, for about five minutes, to tidy the Church. Julio Herrera is the head usher and if you choose to help at another Mass, you will be referred to him.

• 5:30pm Lector – The missions of the holy Family Lector ministry is to rouse the faith of the assembly and inspire them, to discipleship by proclaiming the Word of the Lord with clarity and conviction. Lectors make a truly satisfying and meaningful contribution to Eucharistic celebrations at Holy Family. After a 90 minute training, you will be scheduled. Lectors come 15 minutes before Mass to be coached on the readings they will be proclaiming. • 5:30pm Technology – The tech team come to the tech booth 15 minutes before Mass (they first check in in the vestibule of the Church to make sure we have two team members to go up together). Teens manage ProPresenter throughout Mass, the application that acts as a worship aid, projecting the lyrics to the songs used at Mass. If you choose this for the 5:30 Mass, you will be put on a team that helps about every 4 weeks. You will receive an email from Carol the Tuesday-Thursday before your Sunday of ministry. • 5:30pm Mass Usher/Greeter – The Usher/Greeter Ministry serves the worshipping assembly by providing a welcoming, hospitable atmosphere and assuring the orderly progress of the liturgy. Ushers take up the collection and manage the Gift Bearers for the Preparation of the Gifts. They also manage the flow of the Communion procession.
